There’s at least three more 7″ and an unreleased LP by this Northampton band.
Running Wild//Sing Sing Sing 1972.
Monie Monie/Land of 1000 Dances//Don’t Let It Get You Down 1973
Life’s Just An Illusion//How Come I Love You
There is another UK single by a band called Axe released on Gull Records in 1974 Puttin’ Me Down//Save Me, but I’ve never heard it and don’t know if it’s the same band
The “Life’s Just An Illusion” single Harvey mentioned is actually by Bobby Barth’s American band, Axe. Totally different outfit. The unreleased LP was an acetate recording by a female fronted quintet, again not the same band. The acetate was later bootlegged by Kissing Spell. The Axe referenced here was merely a studio concoction, meant to churn out singles for MCA label heads. The Gull single has not been confirmed as the same act who cut singles for MCA.
